TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2022
NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order. The order came into force on 27 September 2020 and would have expired on 7 March 2022 By direction of the Secretary of State in exercise of his powers under Section 15(5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the order shall continue in force until 7 September 2022 or until works have been completed, whichever is sooner. No persons shall proceed on the section of the affected path except for access to land or premises on or adjacent to that length of path.
Public rights of way affected:
FOOTPATH NO. 7, PARISH along sea wall from Colonnade breakwater to Coastguards breakwater
Dawlish Footpath No. 7 Closure Plan
The alternative route is via Richmond Place – multi use path – Exeter Road – FP10 footbridge
The closure is necessary to enable ongoing works as part of South West Rail Resilience Programme
