DEVON COUNTY COUNCIL

(FOOTPATH No. 9,  BARNSTAPLE)

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2023

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order.

The order came into force on Saturday 25 March 2023 and would have expired on Wednesday 25 September 2023

By direction of the Secretary of State in exercise of his powers under Section 15(5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the order shall continue in force until 25 September 2024 or until works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

No PERSONS OR CYCLISTS shall proceed on the section of the affected path except for access to land or premises on or adjacent to that length of path. The order will continue in force for a period not exceeding six months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.
Public right of way affected:

FOOTPATH No. 9,  BARNSTAPLE FROM THE JUNCTION OF SEVEN BRETHREN WITH THE B3125 (AT THE LONG BRIDGE) TO THE FORMER RAILWAY BRIDGE SOUTH OF TARKA TENNIS.

The alternative route is via EXISTING PATHS AND CYCLEWAYS AND ROAD AND PAVEMENTS ALONG SEVEN BRETHREN.

The closure is necessary TO ENABLE DEVELOPMENT TO BE UNDERTAKEN
