TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order.

The order came into force on Tuesday 27 February 2024 and would have expired on Wednesday 26 February 2025

By direction of the Secretary of State in exercise of his powers under Section 15(5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the order shall continue in force until Tuesday 26 August 2025 or until works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

No persons shall proceed on the section of the affected path except for access to land or premises on or adjacent to that length of path. The order will continue in force for a period not exceeding six months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.
Public right of way affected:

FOOTPATH No. 11, DARTMOUTH (part of the South West Coast Path National Trail) from the main entrance to Dartmouth Castle to the eastern end of St. Petrox Churchyard

The alternative route is via Dartmouth Castle Car Park; Castle Road; Public Footpath No. 12, Dartmouth; Castle Road; and Public Footpath No. 11, Dartmouth; and vice versa.

The closure is necessary due to safety concerns relating to an adjacent wall and bank.
