Find a peer support group in your area of Devon

Mother-to-mother, or peer support, is recognised as a valued part of breastfeeding by many women. Breastfeeding support groups allow mums to come together, supporting normal breastfeeding as well as when breastfeeding feels a little challenging.

The groups listed are attended by either a trained breastfeeding peer supporter or a breastfeeding counsellor who has additional training to support you on your breastfeeding journey.

If you need additional support you can access this through your midwife if your baby is less than ten days old, or through your health visiting team if older than ten days.

The Infant Feeding Service offers specialist, one to one help with breastfeeding challenges and can be accessed by contacting your Public Health Nursing HUB. You can find more information about infant feeding services here.

The quality of support given by practitioners within these lists is not monitored, maintained or assured by Devon County Council. We would therefore encourage families to make their own checks in order to ensure that they are dealing with a competent regulated service.
