Work to replace the temporary traffic lights at the Clay Lane/Clay Pits Way junction with a temporary roundabout will start in the week beginning 22 June.
The change follows public feedback and is expected to improve traffic flow.
The roundabout will take a few days to install. During this time, the road will remain open under temporary traffic lights.
To improve safety, the speed limit at the junction will be reduced to 30mph while the roundabout is in place.
Once the main A382 works are complete, the temporary roundabout will be removed. The junction and speed limit will then return to how they are now.
