Summer 2016 Consultation Has Ended

From 27th June 2016 – 12th August 2016 Devon County Council invited the general public to respond to a public consultation on proposed options for improvements to the North Devon Link Road. The consultation period was extended from 4 to 6 weeks following agreement with Peter Heaton-Jones MP after seeing high levels of responses.

A number of face to face business surveys were also undertaken with some of the largest employers in northern Devon, with smaller businesses invited to complete the survey online.

Both the business surveys and public consultation have now closed. Devon County Council is analysing and summarising responses, a full discussion of which will be presented to the Department for Transport in Autumn 2016 when the preferred option for the scheme will also be outlined.

A summary of the results of the consultation, and the preferred option for the scheme can be found in the October 2016 Cabinet Report. Further information, including the consultation leaflet, can be found on the project documents page.
