The Torbay Multicultural Network is a group based in Torbay, bringing together and celebrating different cultures as well as tackling important topics such as discrimination.
We currently have 14 members from a diverse range of backgrounds who meet via zoom every 3 months. This is a safe space to spark discussion around important topics and ideas for future work.
The group also connects with organisations (for example Torbay Council, the Fire Service, the Police Service etc.) throughout Torbay and the surrounding area to raise awareness about diversity and promote inclusion.
We send a monthly newsletter with useful educational resources such as anti-racism books, cultural celebration, and news of local events as well as arranging meetings to give advice about how to be as inclusive as possible.
