Impact Assessment on reclaiming surplus Direct Payments – September 2023
Direct Payments are where a person receives money to purchase social care support to meet their eligible care needs. Most people with a Direct Payment receive the payment through a pre-paid card account, known as the Devon Card. Sometimes, people accrue a surplus in their account which they do not need. This is an impact assessment of a change to the way in which DCC recovers surplus funds held in Direct Payment accounts.
