The Army Benevolent Fund provides grants to charitable organisations that provide services and support to the army family: serving soldiers, former soldiers, and their immediate families (including the bereaved).
Registered charitable organisations and Community Interest Companies can apply for grants. If you are a new applicant to the Army Benevolent Fund, any grant will generally be for less than £20,000 and you are advised to make contact by email before submitting an application to explain:
- why the project or service is needed
- the expected number of Army family beneficiaries
- the impact the project or service is having and/or expected to have
- how the project or service will be sustained going forward
The Army Benevolent Fund can also provide means-tested assistance for individuals who are serving or former members of the army and their dependants.
