Army Benevolent Fund

The Army Benevolent Fund gives grants to charities and organisations that provide lifetime support to soldiers, veterans and their immediate families.

The funding is intended to support charities and organisations with projects and activities that directly benefit the Army community in six key areas: independent living; elderly care; training and education; mental wellbeing; helping army families; and housing.

All registered charities and other organisations such as CICs, community groups and housing associations that support the Army community can apply. Preference is given to charities that are members of the Confederation of Service Charities (Cobseo).

Organisations that do not have an existing relationship with the Army Benevolent Fund are unlikely to be awarded more than £15,000.

The Army Benevolent Fund also makes grants to individuals, through their regimental and corps charities.
