Arts Council England

Arts Council England (ACE) has outlined the timings for when it will re-open applications to two of its key funding programmes.

ACE provides grants for creativity and culture across all types of arts organisations and projects but, following technical issues in the Summer, it has not been possible to submit new grant applications.

National Lottery Project Grants: re-opening fully in mid September for applications under £30,000. The aim is to re-open by the end of September for grants of £30,000-£100,000. For grants over £100,000 (major grants), the aim is to re-open by mid October.

National Lottery Project Grants are open to all individual artists, community and cultural organisations to support arts, museums and libraries projects. Funding is available for combined arts (including festivals and carnivals), dance, libraries, literature, music, museums, theatre and the visual arts.  Individuals, arts organisations, museums, libraries and other organisations that use creativity and culture in their work can apply for grants up to £100,000. Grants over £100,000 are for organisations only.

Developing Your Creative Practice: opening for access support requests in late October, before opening for applications in late November.

These grants are for individual artists and creative practitioners across a range of disciplines. You can apply for a grant between £2,000 and £12,000 to support your own creative development: this could include research, time to create new work, travel, training, developing future ideas, networking or mentoring. Organisations are not eligible to apply.
