In accordance with Exeter Highways and Traffic Order resolutions (Decision – Active Streets Heavitree and Whipton Trial Scheme Update – Democracy in Devon), the Hamlin Lane, Vaughan Road and Whipton Lane modal filters have now been suspended. The bollards and planters have been removed, allowing traffic to pass through these points.
The modal filters at St Mark’s Avenue and Ladysmith Road/Park Road have also been suspended. The junction layout has been reconfigured into a staggered crossroads, and the mini roundabout has not been reinstated. As a result, traffic from St Marks Avenue and Park Road will need to give way to traffic travelling on Ladysmith Road and Commins Road.
