More about how the family hubs service has changed

  • Will the group I go to still be available?

    Some group sessions that are currently delivered in family hub locations will change, with families who have complex needs being referred to other community-based services through the new system from April 2025.

    However, while the service moves in-house to DCC, families will still be able to receive support with:

    • requests for support
    • the Household Support Fund
    • continuing access to existing groups run by the community where these continue to be run
    • continuing groups such as Step by Step and Lets Talk, Read and Play
    • parental conflict programme
    • locality triage
  • Will I still need to go to a community centre to access support?

    Family hubs are a community-based service and over time you will see more and more local settings advertising family hub services. We also have our own dedicated family hub buildings, and you are welcome to drop-in when they are open:

    Exeter and East
