SEND clubs and groups in Devon

Devon is such a big county, it’s difficult for us to list all local groups and clubs, but here are some suggestions that may be of interest.

AIMS

Dawlish

AIMS supports families who have children with different needs. The group meets every Saturday for fun activities and occasional outings.

CEDA

Exeter

CEDA’s Youth Services are Ofsted registered and provide fun, learning and social opportunities for disabled and disadvantaged children and young people aged 5 – 21. With a choice of clubs, a social group for over 14’s and a Youth Music project there’s lots on offer.

Orchard Saturday Club

Teignbridge

Orchard Saturday Club is a small respite charity. They run 2 alternate small group sessions fortnightly, one for youngsters between 8 and 14 years of age and the other for those between 14 and 19.

SOCOPS

Exeter

SOCOPS club provides a safe and inclusive social space for children aged 7-15 with autistic spectrum conditions. Siblings and families are welcome to join in the weekly sessions too.

SOCOPS Plus is a social group for young people aged 16-23 with autistic spectrum conditions. Sessions are held fortnightly at various locations across Exeter.

Space youth groups

County wide

Space run a range of youth services in Devon, which includes a number of in-person youth clubs (and an online one). They also run some groups specifically for young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).

In person groups

Weekly clubs for young people with SEND are available in Exmouth (13+), Newton Abbot (11-19) and Tiverton (11-19).

Online group – The Chill Out

The Chill Out is a weekly online session for young people (11-19) with SEND wherever they are in Devon. The sessions are supported by youth workers, and provide a safe place for young people to connect and have fun.

The Hollow Lane Club

Exeter and Dartington

The Hollow Lane Club supports children and young people with complex disabilities through a year round programme of clubs and activities.
