10 November 2025 to 16 January 2026
Devon County Council is responsible for coordinating applications for admission to all state-funded schools in its area. Find out more information about the process and how it works.
Arrangements have previously been determined for this year (2025/26) and for next year (2026/27). The consultation for 2027/28 has now closed.
Admission arrangements must now be determined by the end of February and published on school, trust and local authority websites by 15 March.
This includes the arrangements for Devon County Council, the mainstream schools and academies within the Devon County Council area and those academies in neighbouring local authority areas that are supported by Devon’s Admissions Traded Service.
We will publish all final policies as quickly as we can once we receive them. You can view the arrangements:
The catchment areas for schools are published here.
A list of all schools, their proposed Published Admission Number and the changes that are proposed is available here.
If you think that any maintained school or academy’s arrangements are unlawful or not in compliance with the School Admissions Code or law relating to admissions, you can make an objection to the Schools Adjudicator through the GOV.UK website. You have until 15 May 2026 to contact the adjudicator if you have an objection.
Education Transport Policy
There are no proposed amendments to the determined transport policies for 2026-29.
