Devon’s SEND Local Offer

Devon Cornerstones event

Devon Cornerstones event 24 June 2025

By inviting young people and parent carers as well as key practitioners from Education, Health and Social Care to engage together in an immersive series of activities, Genuine Partnerships hopes to start a dialogue through which more meaningful co-production can emerge. In this way young people and parent carers can be more authentically involved in process of transformation to improve the experiences of, and outcomes for, children and young people with SEND and their families within their area. More honest, open communication between a whole community of partners can be generated. However, further collaboration will always be needed to carry the momentum forward, as well as firm commitment from strategic leadership to genuinely invest in this way of working.

In Devon, 78 participants attended the Cornerstones event including representatives from the following key groups:

  • young people (12)
  • parent carers including PCFD (17)
