Parents and carers who receive any of the following may qualify:
- Income Support
- Income-based Jobseekers Allowance
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
- support under part 6 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
- The guaranteed element of Pension Credit
- Universal Credit if your annual net household income is less than £7,400, not including any benefits.
Children who were formerly looked after by a local authority in England or Wales or have left care subject to an adoption, special guardianship or a child arrangement order, are also eligible.
What you need to do
If you think you may be eligible for EYPP, please ask your early years provider for an application form. You will need to compete this and return it to them so they can claim EYPP on your behalf.
