• Oversubscription Criteria 2025-26
  (Please refer to the full policy for definitions.) Normal round into Year 7:  

  1. Looked after children and children who were previously looked after but immediately after being looked after became subject to adoption, a child arrangements order, or special guardianship order including those who appear to the admission authority to have been in state care outside England and ceased to be in state care as a result of being adopted.
  2. Priority will next be given to children who have an exceptional social or medical need which means they should attend this school rather than any other (or whose parents have such a need). An application must be supported by evidence from a medical specialist or social worker of the need and why it means the child needs to attend this school.
  3. Priority will next be given to children living within the catchment area set out in the map who are siblings of pupils on roll at this school.
  4. Priority will next be given to other children living within the catchment area, on roll at a named linked school.
  5. Priority will next be given to other children living within the catchment area.
  6. Priority will next be given to children living outside the catchment area who are siblings of pupils on roll at this school.

• Open day information Autumn
  Parents should contact the school for information about visits or online resources to help in making secondary transfer preferences. Open evenings / mornings take place in September and / or October.

• Admissions notes
  There is a separate admissions policy for entry to sixth form. The PAN relates to students who wish to transfer into Year 12. Pupils in Year 11 do not have to make a formal application to stay on in Year 12 but do have to meet the same academic criteria to access courses as external students. Priority for children at a linked primary school applies only for normal round admission into Year 7.
