Spaces still available for free festive fun with our Holiday Activities and Food programme

Book now for Christmas and New Year HAF

There are still funded spaces available on our Holiday Activities and Food programme this Christmas and New Year.

Children in Devon aged five to 16-years-old who are eligible for benefits-related free school meals are invited to choose from over 60 different providers across the county who are offering a great range of free physical activities and healthy hot meals during the school holidays.

For four days over the upcoming school holiday, hundreds of children from of low-income families can enjoy a wide range of activities, from cooking and craft, sports and coaching, outdoor and forest play, music and dance and more. Some schemes are also providing Christmas hampers for families

All clubs will be operating for a minimum of four hours and will include a hot meal, and as well as dates before Christmas, there are places available in the New Year on Thursday 2 and Friday 3 January 2025.

Bookings are now open, and details of activities can be found on our interactive map. If your child is eligible to access the programme, simply search for a provider in your area, have a look at their listing to see what they’re offering, then when you’re ready, book a place with them directly.

Once all the children who receive benefits related free school meals have booked a place if they want one, we open the remaining spaces to children eligible under our extended criteria. If your child is not eligible for benefits-related free school meals, but has an EHCP, or is (or has been) in care, or is a young carer, please contact your preferred provider to ask if any extended criteria places are available.
