Changes in Exwick speeds limits proposed

20mph sign

You can tell us what you think about our proposals to change the speed limit on Station Road, Exwick Road and St Andrews Road in Exwick.

We’re proposing the changes to reduce congestion and improve safety for road users.

A Traffic Regulation Order has been published giving the public the chance to respond to proposals to introduce a 20mph zone along the full length of Station Road.

The changes would reduce traffic speeds near the park, road hump, parallel crossing, and the nearby narrow footways over the river

We’re also proposing to set the speed limit along Exwick Road and St Andrews Road to 30mph – these roads are currently 20mph – to better manage local congestion and traffic flow.

And we are proposing to introduce two-hour Limited Waiting and No Waiting At Any Time (double yellow lines) restrictions on Exwick Road outside Exwick Villas

These restrictions would include the usual exemptions including for setting down passengers, loading and unloading goods and parking by Blue Badge holders.

Details of the proposals are available to view or comment on Devon County Council’s website.
