People using Teign Street car park are being warned that they won’t be able to access their vehicles during the day on Wednesday 8 July while resurfacing work takes place.
Chapel Street and Teign Street will be closed to all traffic between 9am and 3.30pm on Tuesday 7 July and Wednesday 8 July and there is no diversion route available.
Preparation work takes place on the Tuesday and people will be able to access the car park on that day although there may be short delays.
But on Wednesday 8 July it will be closed until 3.30pm. The road will reopen later in the afternoon once work is complete
Anyone who will need their vehicle during the day on 8 July should park elsewhere overnight, or plan to travel before 9am or after 3.30pm.
The resurfacing is being carried out to improve the condition of the road. Because the street is narrow, the work has to be completed in a single pass, which means a full closure is needed during the main resurfacing.
Work has been timed to avoid peak hours as far as possible and keep disruption to a minimum.
