The construction by Cormac Ltd is progressing smoothly overall. The works in the northeast and southwest corners are nearing completion, while the works in the northeast and southeast corners are advancing well. In these areas all drainage systems are complete, and excavations for highway widenings are underway, with the new kerb line starting to be laid. Works to construct the traffic islands on all approaches due to start within the next couple of weeks. However, we anticipate a delay of approximately 4 weeks due to several issues: relocating an existing gas main, multiple undocumented drainage systems, a collapsed drain in the southeast corner, and the need to divert a telecommunications cable in the southwest corner, which BT Open Reach had no record of despite early engagement regarding their other services on site.
