Fund description:
The Worshipful Company of Weavers makes charitable grants to support disadvantaged young people, particularly young offenders and ex-offenders. Grants of up to £15,000 can be made to small registered charities that offer direct services to support:
- young offenders
- prisoners and ex-prisoners
- young disadvantaged people, especially those at risk of criminal involvement
The Company has provided funding for skills projects in prisons and practical support to assist rehabilitation. Grants have also been awarded to a range of community-based projects for disadvantaged young people, including mentoring, anti-gang and drug abuse programmes.
