The Swire Charitable Trust makes grants to charities supporting some of the UK’s most vulnerable people to overcome barriers and realise their potential, and to charities that are protecting the UK’s environment and heritage.
There are three funding programmes:
Opportunity – improving life chances. In particular, practical support for: vulnerable children and young people; ex-service men and women; victims of slavery and trafficking.
Environment – supporting the UK’s biodiversity; and connecting people to nature
Heritage – regeneration through restoration; and supporting and developing heritage skills
There is no minimum or maximum grant size and funding can be used towards projects or core costs. Note that the trust receives many more applications than it can support and that only around 25% of applications are successful.
Applications are only accepted from UK registered charities.
