SHAKE Climate Change Programme

This investment programme supports entrepreneurs and start-ups with science or tech-based ideas in the areas of agriculture and food production that have a positive impact on mitigating climate change.

The programme includes workshops, training and mentoring: around 20 businesses are initially selected onto the programme and the selection process continues with each phase so that up to 5 entrepreneurs go on to complete the full programme and are eligible to receive investment.

Financial support is in the form of a convertible loan of up to £140,000 which can be used to cover start-up operating costs such as: building prototype demonstrators; outsourcing software, hardware or other development; conducting customer trials and interviews; patent filing; marketing; and staff costs.
