The Schroder Charity Trust provides grants for registered charities that help children and young adults from disadvantaged backgrounds to achieve their potential and that improve the wellbeing and life outcomes for vulnerable people.
Grants can be used for:
Enabling children and young adults from disadvantaged backgrounds to thrive and achieve their potential in education and employment:
- early years support for vulnerable children
- reading and literacy skills
- financial literacy
- vocational careers and apprenticeships for young people
- improving employment outcomes for young offenders
- tutoring to improve school attainment
Strengthening communities through services and opportunities that enhance the wellbeing and life outcomes of vulnerable and disadvantaged people:
- helping people out of financial hardship
- support for children in the care system
- reducing social isolation for older people
- building life skills and resilience through youth work
- supporting the homeless into sustainable housing
Registered charities with an annual income between £150,000 and £1m can apply for a grant of up to £5,000 for core and/or project costs.

Application deadline:
There are two application windows in 2026: 1 March to 30 April 2026; 1 August to 30 September 2026.
