The Royal Society: Partnership Grants

The Partnership Grants scheme provides grants for schools and colleges to work in partnership with STEM professionals from academia or industry to run an investigative STEM project. The scheme is open to all levels of education supporting students aged 5 to 18.

The aim of the scheme is to help students to develop key skills, including research, problem solving and data-handling skills as well as raising awareness of STEM careers opportunities and helping schools to make links with STEM professionals.

Schools and colleges can apply for up to £3,000 to assist with a specific STEM research project. Projects must involve at least two partners: (1) the school partner  – a UK school or college – and (2) a STEM professional from academia or industry. The project must run for a minimum of one term.

There are three deadlines in 2026: 30 April 2026; 10 July 2026; and 30 November 2026
