The Percy Bilton Charity provides grants for the purchase of furniture and equipment to support people in need. Applications are accepted from registered charities that are supporting one or more of the following groups:
- Disadvantaged/underprivileged young people (under 25 years of age)
- People with disabilities (physical or learning disabilities) or mental health problems
- Older people (aged over 60)
You can apply for a large grant for capital expenditure of approximately £2,000 and over (the majority of grants fall within the range of £2,000 to £5,000) or a small grant of up to £750.
The funding can be used to buy furniture and equipment (excluding office items) and as a contribution towards the purchase of minibuses in order to transport older and/or disabled people with mobility problems.
The charity also provides urgent one-off grants for individuals who are on a low income and have a serious, long-term illness/disability or are over 65 on a low income.
