Parkinson’s UK is re-opening its grants programme to help people with Parkinson’s to get and stay active. You can apply for between £500 and £3,000 to help people with Parkinson’s become and stay active, or help people increase their levels of physical activity.
This year’s programme will re-open on 10 March and Parkinson’s UK will be holding two online information sessions about the criteria and priorities for the grants and how to apply. You will need to book a place if you wish to attend one of the sessions: they are being held on 19 March (10am) and 8 April (2pm).
Previous rounds of the fund have supported groups that are running new activities or increasing participation. The funding has been for activities such as expanding activities to include people with Parkinson’s, buying equipment, hiring facilities, coaching fees or training to ensure that activities are accessible to people with Parkinson’s on an ongoing basis.
The grants are for activity providers, national governing bodies, Parkinson’s groups and branches, and sports and healthcare professionals.
