The New Energy Challenge (NEC) supports technology-focused start-ups and scale-ups from across Europe that are driving the future of sustainable energy. The competition connects innovators with investors and industry experts, providing them with the knowledge, funding and support needed to scale their businesses and drive change.
For this year’s competition, the NEC is looking for innovative technologies that will help to reduce the use of fossil fuels in energy production and lower carbon emissions. This could include innovative systems for carbon removal, renewable hydrogen or production of lower-carbon alternatives, such as synthetic gas.
If you have a start-up or scale-up business that is developing cutting-edge solutions, you can apply to the programme for support, expert guidance and funding. Finalists are selected based on the quality and potential of their innovative technologies, digital solutions and business models.
