The New Allotment Site Fund offers grants of up to £50,000 per acre to purchase land for new non-profit allotment sites. The funding is for sites that will be managed by the community, with a strong focus on environmental stewardship.
Anyone who is passionate about allotments and willing to collaborate with Green Allotments to get new allotment land in their area can apply for funding. Green Allotments will retain ownership of the new allotment land.
Green Allotments are keen to hear from residents who want to come together and get a new site for their area: in addition purchasing the land, they can help with the process of forming an allotment society to manage the new allotment site.
