The Fishing and Coastal Growth Fund (FCGF) is now open for applications. This is a new multi-year fund with a budget of £360m to support fishing and seafood businesses and coastal communities across the UK. The aim of the FCGF is to modernise the fishing and seafood sector, build resilience, and support coastal regeneration.
For the first year, the fund is keeping to the priorities of the existing Fisheries and Seafood Scheme – workforce development, health and safety, community partnerships, trade and market access, and investment in infrastructure.
The scheme is expected to incorporate a broader range of priority areas from 2027/28.
Businesses and other organisations involved in fishing, aquaculture or processing activities can apply.

For grants up to £250,000: apply at any time. The next deadline for larger grants is 12 June 2026
