England Woodland Creation Offer

Landowners, land managers and public bodies can apply to the England Woodland Creation Offer (EWCO) for support to create new woodland, including through natural colonisation, on areas as small as one hectare. EWCO is one of a suite of Forestry Commission initiatives to support woodland creation and tree planting across England.

To be able to apply, you must have full management control of the land and it cannot already be classed as woodland or be subject to any existing legal requirement to create woodland.

You could receive up to £10,200 per hectare, plus up to an additional £12,700 in stackable payments when delivering wider benefits to society, nature recovery and the environment, to support your woodland creation scheme.
