Discover Creative Careers grants are for local projects that provide support for young people who are missing out on opportunities to access creative careers. Your project needs to provide a solution to a clearly identified need or gap in your area.
You can apply for up to £4,000 for your project. The aim is to support innovative ways of empowering young people (aged 11 to 24) through skills development and new connections, including:
- industry networking events
- skills, awareness and confidence-building programmes, including short placements and paid traineeships
- bootcamps or practical experiences in professional creative settings
- creative careers outreach delivered in youth hubs, careers hubs etc
- online or virtual activities
- travel bursaries or subsidies that help young people access existing opportunities
- new projects or pilots testing ways to overcome local barriers to creative careers
The fund is open to creative industry organisations including small and medium-sized businesses, charities and CICs.
