Association for Industrial Archaeology: Restoration Grants

The Association for Industrial Archaeology offers capital grants for the restoration of important industrial buildings, structures, machinery, vehicles and vessels within the UK.

Applications should relate to a single, tangible structure or artefact which is historically, technically, architecturally and/or archaeologically important and is covered by a conservation policy and/or statement. There must be full public access to the heritage asset in question.

There are two categories of grant: you can apply for up to £30,000 for a Major Project and up to £10,000 for a Small Project. Note that the total costs of a small project must not exceed £12,500 (excluding volunteer costs).

Grants can be made to not-for-profit organisations such as trusts, charities and CICs and are for capital funding only.
