The Albert Gubay Charitable Foundation supports a wide range of charities with grants to help change the lives of people most in need. The foundation aims to fund projects that make a difference, have an impact on people’s lives and can evidence the difference they are making.
The foundation provides revenue and capital funding for projects that meet one or more of the following priorities:
- victims of modern slavery
- victims of domestic abuse
- ex-offenders and their families
- homelessness
- medical research
- support for people with terminal illnesses / life limiting conditions and their carers
- drug and substance misuse
- support for people with intellectual disability
- care leavers
- worship and associated community outreach
- amateur sport (with a focus on sport provision for people with disabilities)
- care for the elderly
The aim is: to improve facilities; to help build mental health and wellbeing; to improve confidence, self-esteem and skills; to improve life chances; and to support the development of drugs to cure/alleviate the symptoms of life-limiting or debilitating conditions.
Most grants are in the range of £20,000 to £50,000 with some larger grants including funding for up to 3 years.
Applications are accepted from registered charities or Roman Catholic Diocesan charities registered with the Charity Commission.
