abrdn Financial Fairness Trust

The abrdn Financial Fairness Trust supports strategic initiatives that help to improve financial wellbeing in the UK. Support is available for strategic work to improve financial wellbeing for people on low-to-middle incomes, particularly vulnerable people facing multiple disadvantages.

Grants usually range between £10,000 and £200,000 and can be used for policy work, campaigning and research. Funding is not available for direct service delivery and there needs to be a strategic dimension that goes beyond a local area.

The aim is to tackle financial problems and improve living standards. Projects should therefore focus on at least one of the following:

  • Income – including wages, social security, pensions, taxation
  • Spending – including cost of living, consumer spending, gambling, borrowing, payment problems, net zero
  • Assets – including taxation, saving, housing

Registered charities, voluntary organisations, think tanks, campaigning groups, research bodies and universities can apply.
