Entrepreneurs and aspiring business owners aged 40+ can enter the Second Act Entrepreneur Fund for a chance to win a business grant of £10,000. The competition is being run by Simply Business and Hatch Enterprise to help people who have started a new business later in life.

To apply, you will need to explain how you would use the prize money to make a go of your business including:

• whether the business is viable
• whether you can prove a demand for the business
• ambitions and plans for growth

The five winning businesses will each receive a prize of £10,000 along with a business coaching programme.
