A new fund opens on 23rd February to tackle homelessness in UK communities. The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) is launching the Ending Homelessness in Communities Fund with a budget of £37m. It will run for three years from 2026 until 2029.
Grants are available to help community, voluntary and faith organisations that provide direct services to people experiencing or at risk of rough sleeping. The funding is for activities to:
- Increase community-based support in order to reduce rough sleeping
- Enhance or transform existing day-support offers through staff, physical infrastructure, service development and partnership working
- Support individuals to live independently and prevent them returning to rough sleeping
You can apply for up to three years of revenue funding and one year of capital funding:
- Revenue – £50,000 to £200,000 per year (can be requested in Yr 1, Yr 2 and Yr 3)
- Capital – £50,000 to £200,000 per year (can be requested in Yr 1 or Yr 2)
Applications will be accepted from charitable companies limited by guarantee, CIOs, CICs, CBSs or co-operative societies, and Parochial Church Councils.
