APPLY BY 2 FEBRUARY 2026
GWR is inviting bids for up to £25,000 from its Customer and Community Improvement Fund.
The fund is designed to support small and medium rail-related projects that can be completed over the course of the 2026/27 financial year.
As well as being rail related, projects should have a customer and community benefit or address an area of social need, in a community served by GWR. This includes schemes that are educational, promote rail travel, link to Great Western history and heritage, support under-represented groups, encourage walking and cycling to and from stations, improve accessibility, make use of disused buildings, integrate different modes of public transport, provide promotion and wayfinding. You can also apply for a grant for project feasibility.
A range of organisations may apply including community or voluntary groups, registered charities, CICs, schools, colleges and local authorities.
