The Naturesave Trust has announced that its current theme for grant applications is ‘marine conservation’. Grants of up to £5,000 are available for work to protect and restore marine environments, including:
- marine habitat restoration
- seagrass, saltmarsh and kelp projects
- species protection and recovery
- marine litter and plastic pollution prevention
- sustainable coastal and marine management
- marine conservation volunteering
- education and ocean literacy
- influencing local and national marine policy
- citizen science and monitoring
- community-led coastal and marine surveys
Applications can be submitted by any organisation: the preference is to fund charities, social enterprises and grassroots community organisations. Your organisation and/or project must have a website. The Trust favours smaller groups where the grant can make the most difference.
