James Tudor Foundation

Funding is available from the James Tudor Foundation for charities providing health-related services. The funding is for registered charities with a primary focus that is health related or that have a specific health programme.

The foundation accepts applications for funding through the following programmes:

Physical Health – for charities that provide therapeutic interventions, health information, and direct healthcare. Air ambulance charities can also apply – the South West is one of the eligible locations.

Mental Health – for charities that help children and young people recovering from Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and parents affected by ACEs, mental illness, or addiction.

Hospice Care – support for independent adult and children’s hospices delivering end-of-life and palliative care services in South West England and South Wales (currently closed).

You can apply for funding towards costs related to your service delivery, including staff costs. The priority is to support ongoing costs – only charities that have been supported previously can apply for funding for a pilot project or new service. The foundation does not provide funding for capital costs.

Grants range from £5,000 to £25,000, but the typical grant is between £10,000 and £15,000.
