Sir Jules Thorn Charitable Trust

The Sir Jules Thorn Charitable Trust provides support for projects that improve health and care for people living with serious long-term or life-limiting conditions. The trust provides funding for medical research and innovative work to improve service provision as well as grants for charities that provide practical and emotional support for people living with ill health or disability.

The following grant programmes are currently open for applications:

Ann Rylands Small Donations – grants of up to £5,000 to help smaller registered charities that work exclusively to provide health and care services for people with physical or mental ill health, people living with a disability, and their families and carers.

Scaling Impact in Health and Care Fund – registered and exempt charities can apply for funding (typically between £150,000 and £500,000) to support the wider adoption of proven approaches that improve health and care for people with serious long-term or life-limiting conditions.

Research Infrastructure Fund – registered and exempt charities can apply for capital investment (typically between £150,000 and £500,000) to support innovative medical research in UK universities and/or NHS organisations

Grants for charities that are providing health and care services for people living with serious illness or disability
