The National Lottery Community Fund (NLCF) has announced a new Climate Action programme that will be starting at the end of March 2024. The funding is for initiatives with UK-wide impact and significance that focus on transformational change.
The new funding will provide up to 25 grants of between £500,000 and £1.5 million (over three to five years) for projects that involve more people in climate action in the UK and inspire ‘bold and exciting change’.
The funding is for projects that involve people by:
- linking climate action to the everyday lives and interests of local communities and inspiring them to take action.
- influencing communities at a regional or national level, such as linking up groups across locations or an inspirational campaign across one country or the whole UK
Applications will be open to partnerships representing a mix of organisations and sectors.
