Wales & West Utilities is reporting a gas supply outage in the Kingsbridge area, South Devon.
The company has posted that ‘a third-party has damaged our gas main near Kingsbridge, affecting customers in Kingsbridge, Malborough and Salcombe.’
They report their engineers are on site and are working on repairs, but ask those affected to prepare for interrupted supply for a few days.
Devon County Council is working with partner organisations in response to the incident, providing warm packs to vulnerable people affected, and ensuring that roads in the area are gritted to allow improved access for response vehicles.
Wales & West on X, say, “We’re arranging alternative cooking and heating for Priority Services Register customers and ask for patience as we reach everyone. If you know someone vulnerable, please check in on them.”
