Last chance to visit our award-winning Devon County Show stand!

Tomorrow (Saturday May 17) is the last opportunity this year to visit the Devon County Show and our award-winning stand.

Today (Friday May 16) we were awarded Devon Agricultural Association’s Silver Award in the ‘Most Attractive Stand’ category.

Our main stand is on Road 8, Stand 225 and there you can find out from our Devon Bus team  about how we are improving bus services and the new electric buses which will be arriving in Exeter and North Devon this year. 

Vision Zero South West have brought along emergency response vehicles and people have been taking part in a range of activities – such as testing your braking reactions in an electric Ford Mustang. The VSW team have been informing visitors about our strategy to reduce the number of people killed or seriously injured on roads in Devon and Cornwall by 50 per cent by 2030. 

The Devon Resilience Innovation Project is helping communities become  better prepared for flooding while Adopt South West have over the last couple of days been answering any questions about adoption.

The  Fostering Service will also be there again on Saturday will trading standards is promoting local businesses through their Buy With Confidence and Made in Devon schemes.

Throughout the remainder of the show you can enjoy live music performed by children and young people from across Devon on the bandstand (Avenue K), presented by Devon Music Education Hub. The Hub is led by Devon Education Services, part of Devon County Council.   

On Road 9 you will find Farmwise with the usual array of animals such as sheep, goats, cows, pigs and even a pony.  

Our Performance and Partnerships team will also have a stand Avenue R, stand 453 where they have been showcasing the skills and business support that we offer.
