Four new coworking spaces have joined Devon’s successful Work Hub network.

The Good Space in Dawlish, Propeller in Exmouth, Tiverton Work Hub, and UNIT 2 CoWorking in Kingsbridge, are the latest additions to the expanding number of independently run, locally-focused work hubs across the county.

In joining the work hub community across the county, it takes the network of Devon’s Work Hubs to a total of 24 coworking spaces.

Councillor Simon Clist, Cabinet Member for Assets and Resources, said:

“I would like to extend a warm welcome to these new coworking spaces. By being part of our community of work hubs they can benefit from networking opportunities and business referral. Devon’s economy is built on small businesses and self-employed workers, and our Work Hub network is one of the many ways the County Council is continuing to get behind local businesses in rural and urban areas.

“Work Hubs can be found right cross the county. They’re all extremely well-used and cater for all types of businesses. They offer a perfect environment for anyone looking for a desk or small office space. They are all designed to help professionals, entrepreneurs, freelancers and businesses to flourish in their community.”

The Good Space –
The Good Space in Dawlish has been co-founded by local freelance designers, Amy Walker, Kate Huggard, and Amy Beech.

The creative coworking space they’ve created offers a relaxed and “stylish sanctuary” where work meets wellbeing. It’s open for coworking Tuesday – Thursday, 9am-5pm with desks available to book online by the day.

The Good Space is also hosting regular events, including ‘Founders Happy Hour’ – a monthly talk and relaxed networking event with a special guest speaker.

Amy Walker said: “Our vision is to create a place that feels like home. We want The Good Space to feel like a place you can work, gather and play. We are all professional creatives and feel that there is nowhere in our town that represents us, the middle-aged professional generation in Dawlish who are flexi-working and running our own business. The space has been designed to be flexible, so we can seek the needs of the local community and create something valuable in our town that grows and evolves into a well-loved hub over years to come.”
