Information for our existing customers
Notice for existing customers: Update to our Customer Agreement
As per Clause 10 of our Customer Agreement, Devon County Council may review and make amendments to our Agreement as required, with written notice. We are notifying all existing customers of the following revisions:
- We are making changes to our fees in accordance with clause 3.1 of our Customer Agreement. Further Information is provided below.
Changes to fees
Please be informed that effective from Monday 2 December 2024, the DBS will be increasing their fees as follows:
- Basic DBS Check – £21.50
- Standard DBS Check – £21.50
- Enhanced DBS Check – £49.50
- Enhanced DBS Check with Barred List(s) – £49.50
The DBS is funded by the fees paid from DBS check customers, and therefore fee changes can be required to meet the increased operational costs of delivering DBS’ safeguarding service.
Each DBS check has its own price that is designed to cover all costs of that specific check, and each check’s fee is scrutinised separately. For more information, please visit: DBS fees are changing in December – GOV.UK
At this time, charges for our additional services (including our Handling Fee) remain unchanged. Please see DBS Checking Fees.
We understand that price changes can be challenging, but we assure you that this adjustment is deemed essential by the DBS and applies to all DBS service providers.
If you have any questions or would like further information on any of these changes, please contact us at disclose@devon.gov.uk or on 01392 383266 (option 2). Our team is always here to support you.
