The Learning Disability Partnership Board met on June 15th 2026 to mark the start of national Learning Disability Week.
Part one:
Two Registered Managers form Shared Lives South West came to talk about their service. They answered a series of questions set by Board members on who Shared Lives supports, how they match people to placements and training their carers receive.
Part two:
Officers from NHS Devon ICB and Devon County Council responded to issues raised at the last Board – barriers that stand in the way of people applying for an adult social care assessment. The Assistant Director of Disabilities Services asked attendees to form a Task and Finish Group to explore this topic further.
