Joint Engagement Forum (JEF) meeting held on Tuesday 29th May 2018
Summary of this quarters meeting
This quarter the JEF discussions included:
NHS, Integration & Engagement Update and Question and Answer/Discussion Session
Three current strands of local NHS engagement were presented:
–Better births in Devon
–The future of NHS healthcare in Holsworthy
–Co-locating services in Teignmouth
Health and Wellbeing Board
The meeting received a report on the service user perspective had been presented to the last Health and Wellbeing Board. Simon Chant attended the JEF and reported on how the focus group recruited from the last JEF had helped him to make the information presented to the Board more understandable and readily accessible to people.

- The Equality Challenge session held at the DCC Care & Health Leadership Team meeting
- The Learning Disability Mapping Project
- Commissioning Involvement Group work on improving its co-production capability and working methods
- Learning Disability Partnership Board progress on the DCC Leadership Group Action Plan
- Advocacy engagement activities
- Direct Payments and Personal Assistants Focus Group
- Autism Involvement Group update and Dimensions For Autism group developments
- Safeguarding Adults Coffee mornings
- Implementation of the DCC Sign Language Contract
- Carers Survey Focus Groups and Carers Ambassadors Update
- Children’s Community Health and Wellbeing Services Engagement
- Reshaping Personal Care Group work on the Living Well At Home contract
- Disability Employment media campaign progress
- Healthwatch Loneliness conference.
The Forum then watched the introductory film made for the homepage on the forthcoming Learning Disability Devon web site.
